Ingredients

Marinade:
250 ml - Pepersous {let wel, nie rissiesous nie}
1 - huisie knoffel, gekap
125 ml - kookolie
1 pakkie - wituie-soppoeier
1 blikkie - knopiesampioene
375ml - tamatiesous
375ml - blatjang
375ml - wit wyn of sprite
2 - hoenders (sowat 1,5kg elk) in porsies gesny sout, vars gemaalde swartpeper, hoenderspeserye, gemengde kruie en Aromat na smaak
4 x 250ml rou rys
25ml - botter
4 - uie, in ringe gesny
2 - blikkies ingelegde appelkose

Directions

1. Meng al die marinadebestanddele in `n groot bak
2. Geur die hoenderporsies en plaas dit in die marinade
3. Bedek en hou oornag in yskas
4. Skep hoender en marinade in groot swaarboom-kastrol
5. Bring tot kookpunt
6. Verlaag die hitte en laat sowat 2 tot 3 uur prut tot gaar - roer kort-kort liggies
7. Hou die gereg voortdurend dop, want dit is geneig om aan te brand
8. Kook die rys tot gaar; stoom dit agterna in `n vergiettes sodat die korrels mooi los is
9. Verhit die botter in `n groot pan en soteer die uie tot goudbruin
10. Dreineer die appelkose en sny in kleiner stukkies
11. Meng die appelkose en uie met die rys
12. Sit die rys saam met die hoender voor.
